Stephen Hawking Dies at the age of 76

The brightest star of the Cosmology, Stephen Hawking; dies at the age of 76.


Stephen Hawking – Physicist and author of A Brief History of Time has died at his home in Cambridge.


Despite his paralyzing nerve disease, he became a celebrity by revealing the mysteries of the Big Bang and the black holes.


His three kids reacted:

“We are deeply saddened that our beloved father passed away today. He was a great scientist and an extraordinary man whose work and legacy will live on for many years. His courage and persistence with his brilliance and humour inspired people across the world.”

“He once said, ‘It would not be much of a universe if it wasn’t home to the people you love. We will will miss him forever.”


He once talked about his disability later became an advantage:

“My disabilities have not been a significant handicap in my field, which is theoretical physics. Indeed, they have helped me in a way. My illness gave me the time to think through physics problems, rather than lecture or perform administrative duties.”
